Hortensias have Japanese origins and were imported to the Azores with decorative purposes.
The first blossoms arrive as soon as the warm weather comes, and they "inundate" the island with white, blue, pink, purple or yellow colors.
Everywhere!!
So it was such a nice pleasure last weekend when I saw the first ones of the season!
It means that Summer is almost here.
