snow: where are you this year?

DSC_0546 bb

These shots were taken last winter, in march 8th, 2010, when luckily it snowed a couple of times. And I say luckily because it's not common that the whole Catalunya becomes colored in white as it happened last year.
That's why this current winter I´m kinda nostalgic about snow and being able to take lots of pictures like these.
Fyi, these ones were taken in Manresa, my hometown, and in Cardona.
I hope you like them as much as I do.
PS: maybe you remember this post, so yes, it has already snowed this winter, but not where I live, that time was in the center of Spain.

trip back to the Middle Ages

01b

Exploring the small towns and villages of Catalunya, you will realise that most of them still preserve the essence of the Middle Ages, a special charming that you cannot find in big cities and which makes you think that time has not passed for years.

One of this villages is Besalú, located in the north-east of Catalunya, and its visit is really worth it. Have a look of these snapshots when I went there some month ago.

getting lost in london (III - the last one, yay!)

There's another reason about why London is so cool: The Markets.
There are a lot of them, depending on the day and on the neighborhood, however I just can show you the ones I have pictures.

Borough Market is a wholesale and retail fruit, vegetables and all kind of food market. You will enjoy tasting all their specialities.

Camden Market. You will find open-air and indoor markets with alternative fashion, and all kind of styles: punk, goth, hippy, vintage, retro, etc. And appart from, there's also food, of course.

Portobello Road Market, located at the legendary Notting Hill... (yes, the movie played by Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts). This district is full of retro shops, designer boutiques and antique stalls. This street market is one of the most famous in the world and is set on Sundays.

My last favorite spot is Carnaby Street, located in the city center and next to the others shopping streets (Oxford St. and Regents St.). But Carnaby St. has a special flavor: it is full of independent boutiques and particular brands. If you go there, do not miss the Kingly Court (the 1st and the 2nd pictures are from there).

Dr Martens, maybe the most resistant boots I have ever had. Not maybe, they absolutely are!
I bought my first pair of Docs when I was 11 and they are still all right after having survived in lots of different kind of "dangerous" situations, in which other boots would have died.
Recently I got my second pair. Yes, I thought that, after 13 years, it was time to have a newer pair lol
I love them because they can give a kind of a "rebel" touch to outfits that maybe are too classy. Besides, they are perfect for cold, rainy weather, so, what else could I ask?
PS: the model here is the "triumph 1914"
