y Flores estranhas pa caramba 1

well, in fact... yes, it is.
But they are beautiful, aren't they? :)
These pictures were also taken in Parque Terra Nostra, in Furnas.
The park is the Paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

the magic fountain

a DSC_1080

Fine. It's not magic but like if it was, ok?
You already saw this magic fountain here last autumn in Terra Nostra Park, (in Furnas, São Miguel, Açores). I think I spent like 20 minutes taking pictures to this fountain, playing with the flares of light, trying long exposures of the little "waterfalls" falling from the top and splashing creating little shiny diamonds of water. Even the sound of the fountain was like inspiring music. Everything so poetic! :)
*Sorry for the mass of photos, I just like all of them.

Spring in Terra Nostra Park

DSC_1210 x

Do you know about those days when you wake up and you feel fully inspired, with the enormous need to go out, to find the perfect spot to take some pictures? That was my last Saturday. I asked to myself: which place can be better than the Terra Nostra Park at this season of the year? a Park located in Furnas, full of flowers, trees, lakes and even a hot water pool. (Well, I admit that the park is amazing at this season and at any time of the year
So we reached the Park and spent the day taking pictures there. When the sun went down, we took a hot water bath at the pool and I came back home happy and extremely satisfied with all the beauty that I shot there :)
I am not a big fan of pictures of flowers but I really enjoyed. Now it will be a hard job to choose just a few photos to not get you too bored flowers.

Casa do Açúcar

sm DSC_0794 2 b

I like to refer my new house as A CASA DO AÇÚCAR, which means The Sugar House in Portuguese. The reason is because we live just in front of a SUGAR FACTORY, which actually is a very old one and is a very photogenic place, but also a bit scary at nights. So, the funny part is that, sometimes, from our house, we can smell the "refined" sugar from our living-room, which is the same smell as those Pink Cotton Candies that use to be sold in fairs.

However, another SWEET reason to call it A Casa do Açúcar is because of the YUMMILICIOUS muffins that my lovely housemate prepares (Hi Emese! Thank you :P).

Check them out before they disappear!!
