I was so lucky to have this amazing view from the plane while leaving the island, the island that hosted me for the last 6 months... and who knows if for the next six ones :)

For now... Fasten your seatbealts: We take off!... and enjoy the view.

Trilho Pedestre - Furnas (PRC6SMI) e Parque Terra Nostra

You can start the day with a 6km walk around Lagoa das Furnas. Next to the lake there are the courious Caldeiras das Furnas, where the famous Cozido is prepared.

After that, relax taking a galão and the typical bolos lêvedos or having a walk in the village of Furnas.

Another must to visit in Furnas is the Terra Nostra Park

And I let the best part for the end of the day: to have a hot water bath in the natural pool in Terra Nostra Park at the dusk. Isn't it a wonderful way to finish the visit?

Nordeste e Povoação (I)

Com a nova estrada já inaugurada, Nordeste fica um bocado mais perto. Assim já não há excusa para não visitar esse lindo parte da ilha :) Entre todas as fotos podem ver o Farol do Arnel, gatinhos no Miradouro da Ponta do Sosego, Caldeiras de Ribeira Grande e Por-do-sol em Povoação. Uma bonita forma de acabar a viajem.

I know some of these shots are too much... but I have to admit that I like those pictures that are as shinny that you can't avoid blinking your eyes.... And all this overdose of Xmas shots is thanks to Jackie Rueda and her online inspirating class dedicated to Christmas photography. So now I can't wait to go back home for Christmas holidays and to take pictures of everything :)
