spring day again!

1 b

I was expecting it really bad. So finally spring arrived! Ah, that wonderful time of the year when everything looks more beautiful than ever.
Luckily my city is surrounded by wonderful countryside so we didn't need to drive far (just 5 minutes lol) to see these natural delights.
I don't feel like writing more today, so just enjoy the pictures and have a nice beginning of april!

let's roll some sushi!

If there's something that I like to eat and I get never fed up with is SUSHI! And everything related to Japanese food, Korean food, Chinese food (yes, I know that what we have here is not the original meals but better than nothing). So here I share with you some of the places I've been and I took pictures.
**NOTE: Please, don't pay attention at the quality of the pictures, most of them are made with my phone, which sucks.

Some of the products I use to buy at Xin Hua Extremo Oriente in Barcelona. As you can see I like so much noodles as well :P

MANRESA
  • Sakura: Opened since 2003. Elegant decoration and high quality products. It's a must visit for japanese cuisin lovers.

  • IN Sushi Bar: Recently opened in town. Originally decorated and with a wide range of creative sushi.

  • Restaurant Wok: obviously not Japanese, it's a buffet with fried food and some chinese style stuff. You can finde some sushis too.

BARCELONA

  • Yamadori: it belongs to a well known family of restaurants in Barcelona (Yamashita group). I like so much its small size and the traditional Japanese decoration in it. Of course the sushi, tempura, noodles are perfectly elaborated.

  • Hello Sushi: creative sushi in Ciutat Vella of Barcelona. I especially like the intimate atmosphere created with candles, and the good service of waiters, which received us with a glass of champagne.

  • Shoko: located in the Marina area, I think it's one of the coolest and most trendy Japanese-inspired restaurants in the city. You can have some drinks and enjoy its chill-out area or its partys after dinner. Shoko's cuisine is a mix of Mediterranean and Japanese styles.

  • Hanin: this is a Korean Restaurant. Very different from Japanese food, but I like it as well. You have to try the typical Korean liquor: Soju, and the most typical meal: kimchi. Take care because Korean food is so spicy! :)

lonsdale

Lonsdale (24) b
I often like dressing comfortable, so today I decided to take some pictures of my favorite sport shoes. I bought them in Camden Market due to an emergency, but you can easily find them here.
Lonsdale (2) b

Lonsdale is a brand created by the former boxer Bernard Hart in London in 1960. They basically started with boxing equipment, but nowadays you can find different kinds of clothing.

Most of the brands have curiosities about their names and logos. This company, according to our beloved Wikipedia, "is named after Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale, who in 1891 set up the first organised boxing matches with gloves, following the deaths of three boxers in bare knuckle fights."

Another curiosity is that this brand was realted to Neo-Nazism just because changing the letters a little bit you can read NSDAP (the German name of the Nazi Partit) and they wore this brand since it was forbidden to express Nazi sympathies. So in 2003 the company decided to finish with those symbolisms launching the campaign "Lonsdale Loves All Colours", which I think is a brilliant idea to re-positioning the brand and break up with bad reputation.

it's almost spring!

blog01
This morning, while I was having a walk, I saw a mosquito flying around me, looking for sombody to bite. And I just realised that {apart from the fact that I have the sweetest blood and all mosquitoes feel really attracted to me} ....it's almost spring! So flowers will start blossoming soon, bees will start bee...zing¿? and countryside will be in its most colorful moment. And you know what that mean, right? yes! Time to take our cameras!
Last year I took these nice shots with my Bf. Let's hope this 2011 we can take better ones, which is gonna be easy lol

And more pictures.... Sorry, I know it´s TOO MUCH sometimes, but... don't you love those yellow flowers? its name is Brassica Napus and I think the most beautiful thing of them is that you just can see them only a few weeks
each year.

what a busy life, uh?

comb b
I use to remember when she was a PLAYFUL kitty. She ran, jumped, climbed everywhere, and went for a walk on the roofs, she bit, and scratched the curtains, the sofas, the sheets, she went after every little thing she saw like little balls and toys, my earrings...¬¬ yes, lovely!
But now, 11 years later, she has become old and even more SPOILED. She just wants to relax, to lie down and be cuddled and brushed. What a busy life, uh?
So here she goes again, one of my favourite but also bad-tempered model for my photos, who you already know

my do-re-mi passion

cats

Unce upon a time....... the summer of 1999 I started learning piano by myself. I think that all the creativity in me was wishing to be released. And well, until now I have to admit that I'm absolutely not a brilliant pianist, but I love playing it. It lets me free my mind, exactly like photography does. So I was thinking about uploading some videos of my "performances", but I'm too shy for it. I'll have to try one day anyway.

PS: having a look at the pictures again I just realised that it seems there's a little bit of dust on my piano, doesn't it? that's embarrassing LOL
